- In 2003, Muzamil had just started pursuing his Mechanical Engineering at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi when he tried his luck for the Gladrags Manhunt as an “amateur walk-in”. Despite having no prior knowledge of the modeling world, he emerged as the winner at 19.
- He walked the ramps of a 1000 odd fashion shows including those for elite brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Zegnia, Hugo Boss, Just Cavali and Guess.
- In 2007 he debuted in Bollywood film Dhokha as ACP Zaid Ahmad and nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut
- Though being a part of the glamour world, Muzamil says he’s “proud to be a Muslim and the religion is amongst his priorities.” He tries to offer Salah five times a day and the Prayer Mat, he says, is an integral part of his make-up van. And what he misses most of his homeland Kashmir is the religious fervour in the month of Ramadhan. Muzamil says it reminds him of his childhood days of reading a Parah of Quran, every morning during the Holy month. “And I still try to read a Parah, everyday in the Blessed month,” he says.
